Mississauga, ON – October 2025: Peel Regional Police have arrested and charged three men following a serious crash at Ninth Line and Erin Centre Boulevard that left four children and one adult seriously injured.
On July 3, 2025, a black Range Rover collided with a red Honda Civic, sending all five occupants of the Civic to hospital. The suspects in the Range Rover fled the scene on foot. Police later determined the Range Rover’s occupants had been involved in an armed robbery at a nearby gym moments before the crash and were being followed by a red Ford Mustang.
Following the investigation, Daijuan Buchanan (18, Brampton) and Jahzvi Smith (22, Mississauga) were arrested and charged with multiple offences, including robbery, firearm-related crimes, and dangerous driving causing bodily harm. Both remain in custody pending bail hearings.
A third suspect, Jashanpreet Singh (28, Mississauga), the driver of the Mustang, was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and released with conditions.
