Karandeep-Edmonton- Body of Missing Woman Found in Edmonton Identified as 25-Year-Old Teanna Lacoursiere Edmonton, May 29, 2025 – Police in Edmonton are looking at the odd find of bones in a wood area north-east of the city this year. These bones are now known to be from Teanna Lacoursiere, a 25-year-old woman who went missing in April 2024. In January 2025, some bones were found near Aurum Road and 17 Street. Due to deep snow and bad winter weather, the team could not search the area well at that time. A full search was done this May with help from Search and Rescue Alberta. The Medical Examiner took a look on January 20 but they still do not know how she died. A key piece of info came in April when DNA from the National DNA Bank showed that the bones were Teanna’s. Teanna was around 5’1” tall and weighed 120 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair (often dyed). She also had a special tattoo on her chest and was known by the name Mistey. The search area was big and full of trees, making it hard, said Staff Sergeant Kevin Harrison of the EPS Historical Crimes Section. “Now that the search is done, we ask the public for any info that could help explain how Teanna’s bones got to this far place.” The police think the way she died is strange, and they want help from the public.
